Under the Bastian Hospitality umbrella are Bastian (Worli and Bandra), the fun and stylish restaurants with a focus on seafood and Asian-inspired dishes and Bizza (Bandra), the city’s hottest destination for artisanal pizza, decadent dessert and one-of-their-kind cocktails. Bastian Bites, the brand’s delivery/takeaway kitchen; and Bastian Bakery, which offers the now cult-favourite cakes and desserts that the brand is known for, are the other offerings by Bastian Hospitality. Currently in the works are several new restaurant concepts, scheduled to roll out this year, and plans for expansion across the country.

Ranjit Bindra

Bastian Hospitality (formerly Aalia Hospitality) was established by Promoter Ranjit Bindra in 2014, and has several strong brands (past and present) under its banner, including A Bar Called Life, Arth, One Street, Bastian (in Worli and Bandra), and more recently, Bastian Bakery and Bizza.

2023 sees the successful Bastian brand entering the Bangalore dining scene in Garden City Bangalore and one more signature Bastian at an iconic rooftop location in Mumbai.

Shilpa Shetty Kundra

An actor, India’s first celebrity YouTuber, Wellness Influencer, Author, Yoga Practitioner, Health-&-Fitness Icon, Entrepreneur; Shilpa Shetty Kundra has many facets to her persona. With a career spanning over 29 years in the Indian film industry, she has carved a niche on television, radio, and OTT; in addition to being the first Indian to win celebrity Big Brother UK.

Shilpa is much more than a global face today, being the first to enter the health & fitness space with her Yoga DVDS & Fitness app ‘Simple Soulful’. She has authored two bestselling books – ‘The Great Indian Diet’ and ‘The Diary of a Domestic Diva’, apart from shining the spotlight on healthy yet delicious recipes through her ‘Shilpa Shetty channel’ on YouTube.

This bonne vivante’s taste buds blend perfectly well with her passion for trying global cuisines.

Kunal Jani

Kunal found his passion for food & hospitality through his extensive travels when he was growing up. Always a foodie, his passion for F&B stems from his experiences eating all over the world.

Post his studies in London, Kunal was ready to begin his hospitality journey in 2014. Together with Ranjit Bindra, and subsequently Shilpa Shetty, he was able to create and grow BHPL to what it is today.

His extroverted nature, welcoming personality and attention to detail epitomize the heart and soul of the Bastian brand.

Culinary Director

Suvir Saran

New Delhi-born-and-based culinary authority Suvir Saran is the author of three celebrated cookbooks: Indian Home Cooking, American Masala, and Masala Farm. Chef Suvir has created, curated, and crafted F&B concepts, menus, catered events and culinary conferences globally.

Chef Saran created ‘Devi’ in Manhattan, the first of 18 restaurants that won a Michelin Star when the guide first came to North America. Devi was also the first non-Northern European and Indian restaurant to get a Michelin Star in North America.

His recipes and writings have been featured in countless national and international newspapers and magazines and are read and loved world over.

Vision

Bastian Hospitality Pvt. Ltd. launched in 2015, with an aim to cater to a well-traveled, knowledgeable customer base that is passionate about food and knows its beverage. Always one step ahead on the culinary front, the brand is credited with many 'firsts' - launching the city's first tiki-inspired cocktails, dedicated gluten-free & vegan menus, an elevated seafood dining experience formerly reserved for more casual eateries, 'messy' presentations of hearty and rustic fare, and the concept of indulgent eating for the stylish set.

Mission

Dedicated to design and presentation, each venue under the Bastian Hospitality banner incorporates meticulous design that serves to enhance the dining experience, and thoughtful curation of every detail from the crockery and glassware, to the music and art.
